We have had a few visitors for Easter. My parents surprised us by coming down for a few hours on Friday, and Heathers mom and sister came down for the weekend.

In this last week, Heather and I really tackled the sheet rock in my new office. Its really starting to look like a real room. I'll be sure to add some photos soon so y'all can see how its coming out.

I'm excited that we are finally getting some good weather here in the nodak. More later.

When Jake and Heather decided to move back from California, I thought I was in for a treat being so close to my old lady-friends and grandparents, but man! this cold winter just won't end!

Each day there is another reason to stay inside. And all I want to do is frolic in the grass under the warm summer sun. Top it off, I'm not allowed a bathroom inside like the cat is, so I have to forge the frozen tundra outside to make twosies!

The other issue is a lack of exercise. Heather bought this treadmill thing that she and Jake use, but I just haven't gotten the hang of it yet. It seems silly to walk in place like that. Anyway, here's to all my peeps out there who are hoping for springtime to come around.

Keeping up with blogging is akin to keeping up with your new years resolution. Its a lofty goal that sounds great, but when it comes down to it - it's highly unmanageable. I make no excuses, I am downright terrible at maintaining this thing. Nonetheless, Im sure its a great thrill when you venture to this site and see that I have posted something. Ok, that last part was a downright lie. It did make me think of a new game, however.

Look at the date of the post, and find out what date it is when you first read it - for every month difference between January 2009 and the date you are reading it - we score points. The point system is as follows:

0 months - -1 point (I score here)
1 month difference = 0 points (nobody scores)
2+ months = 1 point for each month greater than 2.

Its a fun game, and you all can try it :). Scoring happens on the forum - so post as soon as you read the rules people!

Anywho, its late and Im still working... so I had better get back so I can get some sleep.

I finally hatched my master plan and got sprung from the paltry confines of the back yard. All was going great, I was out, and I was livin! That's when these fine people down the road found me and went all turncoat on me. They called my jailer (Jake) and let known my whereabouts.

Now the yard has been fortified, and escape seems near impossible.

I need to find my personal hero, this girl from Spain (a real escape artist!) named Sofia. Watch her daring escape!

I hate to talk about the weather, but I am SO not used to being in the cold. California had me lounging on the patio every day, regardless of how cold it was (because let's face it, it wasn't cold at all). It was the pinnacle of a dog's life. Flash forward one year, and where do we find ourselves? Let's just say the yellow snow isn't the only thing that freezes when it is outside! Well, enough of that talk.

So my computer went down sometime after Thanksgiving. Actually, the computer itself was fine, but my doggie-ergonomic bluetooth keyboard with detachable treat dispenser went kaput on me. I guess it probably happened when Jake put the wishbone in the treat dispenser aaannndddd iiiii, well, lets just say I might have gotten a little overzealous and chewed up the side of the keyboard that spells qwerty.

Anyhow. My new custom-built keyboard arrived in the mail THIS MORNING and I couldn't wait to use it. I tried to use Jake's keyboard, but... well, let me show you how it looks.

hjerwe iss whatr haaprenes wehan iot ry to usew jaskes kweryuboard.

Not too pretty. Well, I suppose I had better tell you the news! Ok, there is no news. Just cold. I feel like I'm in a bomb-shelter! I have a new bed, that's news I guess. Ooo! Grandma Deb is coming to visit this weekend, so I'm sure there will be lots of pampering. yay!
