March 09, 2009 :: Dogs get annoyed with winter tooWhen Jake and Heather decided to move back from California, I thought I was in for a treat being so close to my old lady-friends and grandparents, but man! this cold winter just won't end!
Each day there is another reason to stay inside. And all I want to do is frolic in the grass under the warm summer sun. Top it off, I'm not allowed a bathroom inside like the cat is, so I have to forge the frozen tundra outside to make twosies!
The other issue is a lack of exercise. Heather bought this treadmill thing that she and Jake use, but I just haven't gotten the hang of it yet. It seems silly to walk in place like that. Anyway, here's to all my peeps out there who are hoping for springtime to come around. -
October 02, 2008 :: Gus' Great EscapeI finally hatched my master plan and got sprung from the paltry confines of the back yard. All was going great, I was out, and I was livin! That's when these fine people down the road found me and went all turncoat on me. They called my jailer (Jake) and let known my whereabouts.
Now the yard has been fortified, and escape seems near impossible.
I need to find my personal hero, this girl from Spain (a real escape artist!) named Sofia. Watch her daring escape!

February 13, 2008 :: Shout OutJust want to give a quick shout out to Uno, my brother from another mother, who won the Westminster dog show yesterday.
Uno, I'd like to say - gruff wuff grummmmm barkity bark gru gurff.
You know what I'm talking about. -
February 07, 2008 :: If the cold chills, than this winter bites!I hate to talk about the weather, but I am SO not used to being in the cold. California had me lounging on the patio every day, regardless of how cold it was (because let's face it, it wasn't cold at all). It was the pinnacle of a dog's life. Flash forward one year, and where do we find ourselves? Let's just say the yellow snow isn't the only thing that freezes when it is outside! Well, enough of that talk.
So my computer went down sometime after Thanksgiving. Actually, the computer itself was fine, but my doggie-ergonomic bluetooth keyboard with detachable treat dispenser went kaput on me. I guess it probably happened when Jake put the wishbone in the treat dispenser aaannndddd iiiii, well, lets just say I might have gotten a little overzealous and chewed up the side of the keyboard that spells qwerty.
Anyhow. My new custom-built keyboard arrived in the mail THIS MORNING and I couldn't wait to use it. I tried to use Jake's keyboard, but... well, let me show you how it looks.

Not too pretty. Well, I suppose I had better tell you the news! Ok, there is no news. Just cold. I feel like I'm in a bomb-shelter! I have a new bed, that's news I guess. Ooo! Grandma Deb is coming to visit this weekend, so I'm sure there will be lots of pampering. yay! -
August 08, 2007 :: Calling All Ladies!I am back in Fargo after a few years hiatus to California. Since I have been back, I have already seen my 'ladies' - Minnie and Macy. I think they were happy to see how I turned out (ok, I have put on a few pounds... but I'm no meatball!). I'm very happy to find out that Heather still likes to take me running most mornings, and I'm very happy that I get to smell a whole new area. My new pad is kickin' so if you want to come visit, I can show you a good time.
I think Jake is working on a video of our new place, but I wouldn't expect it too soon because Heather and Jake are still unpacking. Ooo! the rabbit is back trying to eat my apples! Gotta go chase him out of my yard! -
May 07, 2007 :: Why Me?Today started much like any normal day. I woke up, smelled the cat, then took a nap. I went for my afternoon walk (where I usually get to see some cute girl-dogs), had some food, took another nap on the porch... but today wasn't a normal day. Today, Jake decided to go running. He waited until it was late (around 6pm or so) because it was freaky hot outside, and then he got me ready and we headed out!
I was so excited I couldn't keep my tail still. It turns out, however, that I really wasn't in the best shape. The long winter had done me (and Jake) in. We were only able to run for a little while before we got pooped out and had to walk. It was alright though, I was out in the fresh air and was LOVING it. What I didn't love was that the hot pavement started to do a number on my paws! They aren't too bad (cause Jake let me run in the grass most of the way) but I have a callus on one of my paws. Hey, whats a little misery when you are having fun!
I hope I can go again soon because rabbit hunting season is only a few months away! O.k. I've never actually hunted any rabbits, but I bet I would be good at it. I better go smell some stuff to get ready. -
April 06, 2007 :: Weekend GetawayJake and Heather are leaving me for the weekend. Because of this, I get to spend a night away in the lap of luxury. It has been quite warm here lately, so staying inside in my own air-conditioned hotel will be really nice. I'm a bit nervous though, this is the first time I'm staying at this place. The kennel I usually go to was all full, so I am really just trying this new place out.
I really try not to blog after I've just eaten, because my blog's tend to be quite short. Since I HAVE just eaten, I will cut this off and go take my nap. TTYL! -
